I know, I know, it’s a bit late to be doing a LFW post now just as Paris Fashion Week is starting but please forgive me and carrying on reading?!
So, I love London Fashion Week, who doesn’t? Obviously it is one of my dreams to attend a show, but for now I am satisfied with being a virtual frow-er, streaming the shows live from the comfort of my own bed.
As always, I was very keen to see what the two berries, Burberry and Mulberry came out with this season. Christopher Bailey sure did not disappoint, with a fantastic line of leopard, animal prints, semi- sheer rubber skirts and rubber trenches which was an interesting twist on the classic Burberry trench coat.
I just had to stick this picture in of my favourite model Cara Delevinge wearing a leopard print top, over-sized heart print knickers and a semi-sheer rubber pencil skirt. She looks fab!
The other presentation that really stood out for me was the Orla Kiely presentation. It was set in an office with the models typing on typewriters, sorting the filing and going about their pretend secretarial life. The 60s style clothes were to die for. The models wore a lot of knit-wear, including neutral cardigans with flared mustard or red skirts, a hot pink jumper dress with a sharp white collar peeping through which was teamed up with white tights and T-bar heels. Love, love, love! Note to self – must start watching Mad Men to get my 60s fashion fix.
